B ZERO® Tetra/Epimers: a single kit for the cost-effective analysis of tetracyclines and epimers Quantitative analysis of 10 substances of the tetracyclines group with just one kit

Tetracyclines are a group of broad-spectrum antibodies commonly adopted within zoo-technics in order to inhibit bacterial and microorganisms protein synthesis. These drugs, however, are often administered for preventive rather than therapeutic purposes and, if the clearance periods are not respected, the risk of violating national and international Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) is an increasingly actual risk.

Similarly to other large groups of drugs as fluoroquinolones or sulfonamides, for tetracyclines it is as well important to adopt a sensitive and broad range kit in order to detect a large number of analytes. This is the case of B ZERO® Tetra/Epimers, Tecna novel ELISA kit with virtual master curve for the detection of tetracyclines and their epimers in food. In this way it will be possible to run a cost-effective analysis, still relying on quantitative data. As a matter of fact, the physical calibration curve still exists, however thanks to the great stability of the kit components, it is run in Tecna laboratories only when a new kit lot is produced. The relative values, necessary for the results elaboration, will be provided by means of a certificate, thus allowing to save many wells during every analysis.

The new kit allows, within a single analytical session, the analysis of the following substances in food matrices as honey, milk, muscle, shrimp and water:
